20 Outstanding Women!
We found the women who go above and beyond to make their communities a better place to live. Those unsung heroes in our neighborhoods – the ones who are already busy, yet find the time to give back in big ways to help others.

Today's Outstanding Woman is,
Karin Primerano of Hoosick Falls
Karin stepped up in a remarkable way when she learned that many residents at a nursing home/rehab facility had no visitors during the holiday season. After a request for Christmas cards to brighten their day, Karin took the initiative to organize a much larger effort, collecting donations for essential items like blankets and water bottles. She even used her own money to help fund the project. Through her hard work and generosity, Karin was able to collect enough donations to provide each resident with a blanket, water bottle, and socks—personalized and wrapped as Christmas gifts.
On the day of the holiday party, Karin delivered the donations to the center, where the residents were overwhelmed with joy and gratitude. Many of them, who had never received such thoughtful gifts, cried happy tears. Karin's kindness didn’t stop there—she made sure that the extra blankets and water bottles were available for new admissions at the facility. Despite facing her own struggles, Karin still finds time to care for her children and young granddaughter, who has Autism, and supports others in meaningful ways. Whether through her small crafting business or thoughtful, unexpected gifts left for friends, Karin’s generosity knows no bounds.
Her commitment to making a difference in the lives of others, especially when she is dealing with personal challenges, truly makes her an outstanding person who deserves recognition.
