The Glens Falls native is heading back to the court
Jimmer Fredette has decided to return to playing basketball after stepping down as the managing director of USA Basketball's men's 3x3 program. The 37-year-old plans to play in a FIBA 3x3 tournament in Phoenix this weekend, marking his comeback to the court after more than two years. Fredette expressed his desire to compete again and mentioned that the idea of playing crept into his mind a few months ago. Despite feeling some unfinished business from his previous Olympic experience, Fredette is focused on taking it one tournament at a time and seeing how he performs before thinking about the 2028 Olympics. USA Basketball officials have supported his decision to return to playing and are excited to have him back on Team Miami for the upcoming tournament.
