The holiday store will open in November

After a two-year wait, Spirit Christmas is finally coming to the Capital Region!

The holiday-themed sister store of Spirit Halloween is set to open its first Capital Region location at Colonie Center in Albany this November, taking over the former Christmas Tree Shops space.

And if this sounds familiar, there's a reason.

Spirit Christmas was originally supposed to open at Colonie Center back in 2024, when the company first launched the concept. But plans changed, and Albany was dropped from the initial lineup of stores.

Now, two years later, it's officially happening!

What Can You Expect at Spirit Christmas?

Think Spirit Halloween, but swap the spooky decorations for Christmas trees, festive displays and holiday gifts.

The store promises more than just Christmas shopping, with interactive experiences including the Candy Cane Express, featuring the sights, sounds and scents of the season.

There's also Inflatable Land, featuring Frosty the Snowman, along with holiday favorites Heat Miser and Snow Miser.

Shoppers can expect thousands of holiday items, including ornaments, nutcrackers, decorations, festive clothing, stocking stuffers and novelty gifts perfect for white elephant exchanges.

Spirit Christmas is expanding to 44 locations across 15 states for its third season.

When Does Spirit Christmas Open in Albany?

The new Spirit Christmas will be located at 131 Colonie Center in Albany, inside the former Christmas Tree Shops space currently occupied by Spirit Halloween.

The store is scheduled to open in November.

After missing out on the original launch in 2024, the Capital Region will finally get its own Spirit Christmas just in time for the holiday season.
