20 Outstanding Women!
We found the women who go above and beyond to make their communities a better place to live. Those unsung heroes in our neighborhoods – the ones who are already busy, yet find the time to give back in big ways to help others.

Today's Outstanding Woman is,
Janine Lampo of Glenville
Janine is a devoted wife, mother to Mason (who has Down syndrome), and stepmother to Tyler and Owen. Balancing numerous doctors' appointments, therapy sessions, and hospital stays for Mason, she is always on the go yet never misses the chance to attend her stepson’s games or practices. Despite her hectic schedule, Janine makes time to give back to her community in meaningful ways throughout the year.
She organizes a sock drive for the homeless in March, in honor of Down Syndrome Awareness Month, and actively supports the Ronald McDonald House by speaking at events to raise donations. Janine also leads a food drive every November to help provide for the homeless during Thanksgiving. Her biggest contribution is during Christmas, when she collects thousands of donations, including clothes and toys, for the charity "Things of My Very Own" in Schenectady. She has been doing this since Mason was born in June 2021.
Janine’s unwavering commitment to others, along with her generosity and heart, make her an outstanding member of the community, always thinking of ways to help. Her friends are lucky to know her, and she is certainly a deserving and exceptional individual who goes above and beyond in everything she does.
