Drivers can begin using the road immediately
Although work will continue, traffic is now permitted on the Riverview Road Bridge in Clifton Park. The bridge, located just south of Northway exit 8, had been closed since June after an excavator struck the bridge, while being towed by a truck on the Northway below.
The State DOT says alternating one-way traffic signals are in place, so drivers should expect to slow down or stop before crossing the bridge.
