Thermal imaging helps police find the man.
A 39 year old man left his Sand Street home on Saturday around 5:30pm in a "concerning manner" which led residents at the home to call the Albany police. As it turns out, police were able to track the man through his cell phone and were able to determine that he was in the area of Slingerland Street and Oneida Ave.
He was seen running through a stretch of wood in that area and thanks to an aerial drone that's equipped with thermal imaging, they were able to find his exact location. The man ended up being found near 98 Slingerland Street right around 7:15pm. Medical personnel on the scene was able to tend to him before he was sent to Albany Medical Center for further evaluation.
