Since The Egg opened its doors in 1978, beverages were not allowed in either of the venue's theaters. Next week, that all changes. A new policy that only allowed beverages in the hallways and open areas outside the theaters will be lifted on Tuesday, October 10th. The Egg's Executive Director Diane Eber told News 10 that this is the start of a number of planned changes at the venue.
This is one step in a larger intentional effort to open the arts to all and make our programming more inviting for broader audiences. Cheers to hatching a new era at The Egg!
Beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks will be sold in single serve cups. Eber will lead a toast at 7:15 on October 10th to commemorate the change.
