Today's Outstanding Woman is,
Heather Hans of Schenectady
Heather Hans is described by friends as the kindest woman you will ever meet, an avid volunteer while still having a full time career. She is extremely active with the American Cancer Society and takes on lead roles including running The King of The Wing program every year. She leads various Relay for Life walks and does holiday wrapping at the local malls all Christmas season. Heather is a leader for the Flags/ Wreaths across America in July/ December and volunteers in the Military room at Albany International Airport, providing companionship and information to military travelers on their layovers. She volunteers for Equinox delivering meals at Thanksgiving. She takes on multiple adopt- a- families during the holidays and goes out of her way to make sure they have nice things to open on the special day. She volunteers for Habitat for Humanity and the Ronald McDonald house. She is the go-to person for anyone who is interested in joining a cause and they just don’t know where to start.
