Update 5:59pm: WCAX in Burlington reports there were three people on the plane, all have survived suffering only minor injuries. About 100 first responders showed up to help.
Update 12:53pm: A helicopter carrying one of the victims is seen landing at the public safety office, the Manchester Fire Department says the person will be taken via ambulance for medical attention.
Update 11:56am: The Manchester Fire Department says the crash victims are being airlifted for medical attention, no word on their condition.
The Times Union has confirmed with police in Vermont that a small plane has crashed in the town of Manchester, about 60 miles from Albany.
FlightRadar 24 the airplane, a small single engine Piper Cherokee, took off from Baltimore around just after 6am and disappeared from radar around 8:30am. Emergency crews are on the scene where the plane went down near Mount Equinox.
