From Streets To Spirit: Monday is Albany’s MLK Day March
Hundreds of Albany residents will come together in unity and remembrance as the city hosts its annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Beloved Community March on Monday, Jan. 19. The event will begin at 11 a.m. along Madison Avenue, where neighbors, families, and local leaders will gather to honor Dr. King’s legacy before making their way to Lincoln Park for a moving wreath-laying ceremony at the Dr. MLK Jr. Memorial. To ensure everyone can take part, the CDTA will offer a shuttle bus for those unable to walk the full route. Participants can also warm up with complimentary hot cocoa and coffee from Cider Belly while supplies last, making the march both meaningful and welcoming as Albany celebrates service, justice, and community spirit together.
