We cordially invite everyone for our first and hopefully annual Spooky Albany Swing Spectacular(SASS) a four-day dance event October 23-26 2025, Featuring West Coast Swing competitions with noted judges, intensive West Coast Swing and Argentine Tango with top instructors and social dancing and fun "Spooky" events. This event which will be held at the Holiday Inn Express Inn & Suites, 400 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY 12110, will be the first Capital District region dance competition of its kind, Hosted in three ballrooms at th venue, this promises to be an exciting event drawing in the dancers from the entire Northeast region.
The weekend begins with a Thursday night Welcome Dance and continues through the weekend with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday swing and Argentine Tango intensive workshops. West Coast Jack & Jill competitions internationally sanctioned levels from newcomer to Master and All Star, a pumpkin Carving contest and social dancing and Argentine Milongas.
While we are charging $150 because early birds ends now the new price will be $170 plus tax, to encourage young people to attend, learn new techniques and explore the healthy sport of dance. We are offering free admission to interested young age 17 and younger and a discounted fee for college students and international competitors. to help defray the cost we are also asking for sponsorships in this event.
