We found the women who go above and beyond to make their communities a better place to live. Those unsung heroes in our neighborhoods – the ones who are already busy, yet find the time to give back in big ways to help others.

Today's Outstanding Woman is,

Jennifer Hendricks-Fogg of Scotia

After her son Logan was diagnosed with a brain tumor at just 3 months old, Jennifer identified gaps in services available to families facing similar challenges. This led her to found the Logan Strong Foundation, a nonprofit organization run entirely by volunteers. Through the foundation, Jennifer raises funds and provides vital support to families during their toughest times.

Jennifer’s contributions include offering gas and grocery gift cards, providing gift cards for the Albany Medical Center Cafe, and creating Amazon wish lists for children in need. She also started a program where volunteers crochet comfort items for kids in the hospital. One of her innovative ideas was to install charging stations in the children’s hospital waiting rooms, ensuring that parents could keep their phones charged to communicate with doctors and loved ones. Additionally, Jennifer personally reaches out to families, offering emotional support, practical advice, and advocacy.

As the founder of Logan Strong Foundation, Jennifer has shown exceptional leadership in growing the organization, organizing impactful events like the Gold Gala and Logan Cup, and supporting families affected by childhood cancer. She continues to recruit and train new volunteers and board members to ensure the foundation's success and impact.

Jennifer's dedication to helping others, both through direct support and creative initiatives, makes her an outstanding community leader.
