20 Outstanding Women!
We found the women who go above and beyond to make their communities a better place to live. Those unsung heroes in our neighborhoods – the ones who are already busy, yet find the time to give back in big ways to help others.

Today's Outstanding Woman is,
Desiree Morgan of Lake Luzerne
Desiree Morgan is a care manager whose commitment to the individuals with developmental disabilities on her caseload extends far beyond the boundaries of her professional role. With a natural instinct to show up, step in, and give more, she exemplifies what it means to truly care, not just as a title, but as a way of life.
This past year brought considerable personal challenges for Desiree and her family, including the daily demands of raising a child with special needs. Yet even in the midst of those difficulties, her dedication to others never wavered. When she learned that one of her clients would be joining a Special Olympics equestrian team, Desiree did not hesitate. Drawing on over 30 years of equestrian experience competing in dressage, hunter, and polo, she immediately volunteered to assist with the program. The experience proved so rewarding that she is now pursuing formal coaching certification ahead of the coming summer season, while also helping to keep the horses conditioned throughout the winter months.
Her spirit of volunteerism does not stop there. During a visit to Double H Ranch to cheer on the same client at a ski event, Desiree departed having signed up as a snowboard instructor, ensuring that more children with special needs would have the opportunity to experience the joy of the sport this season.
Desiree brings her whole self to everything she does. She does not look for opportunities to help; she simply recognizes a need and fills it with skill, enthusiasm, and genuine love for the people she serves. She is, in every sense of the word, an outstanding woman.
