20 Outstanding Women!
We found the women who go above and beyond to make their communities a better place to live. Those unsung heroes in our neighborhoods – the ones who are already busy, yet find the time to give back in big ways to help others.

Today's Outstanding Woman is,
Nancy Kimball of Diamond Point
Nancy Kimball is an 84 years old, active Wildlife rehabilitator and does educational programs with her owls for schools, churches, senior centers and other venues. Wildlife and the environment have been her lifelong passion. She still hikes and lives alone in a log home in the Adirondacks. She is tenacious and devoted to protecting the environment and has been very active in National and local conservation efforts. She has written a book, named Possums to Porcupines: The Wild Life of an Adirondack Rehabilitator, about her rehabilitation experiences. Nancy has travelled around the country volunteering at national parks. She is a retired from the mental health field and is a national and locally licensed animal rehabilitator. She is an inspiration to all of us to keep going!
