Finally! You won't have to drive to New York City of Hartford, CT to get that famous Raising Cane's secret sauce. The Times Union says paperwork has been filed with the Town of Colonie to replace the vacant former 99 Restaurant in Wolf Road with the Louisiana style eatery.
The proposal includes knocking down the empty structure and building a 3500 square foot restaurant on the property at 107 Wolf Road. The new restaurant would include two drive-thru lanes, about 50 parking spaces and an outdoor patio. The hours proposed are 10am to 1:30am Sunday thru Thursday, with extended hours to 3:30am on Fridays and Saturdays. The Colonie Planning Board is expecting to review the proposal on April 14th.
In addition to their famous dipping sauce, Raising Cane's is famous for their limited menu that focuses on fresh, marinated and hand battered tenderloin chicken strips.
It's still in the planning stages, so no target opening date has been announced yet.
