He has filed for bankruptcy

He once played in the NFL, he took over ownership of Albany's arena football team, he was even said to be eying the Riggi mansion in Saratoga when it went up for sale.

Now, the Times Union reports Antonio Brown is filing for bankruptcy. Records show Brown filed Chapter 11 at a federal bankruptcy court in Florida on Monday. He apparently owes over three million dollars to at least eight creditors. One of his debts is to a truck driver he allegedly assaulted in Florida, who is looking for payment on a $1.2 million dollar judgement.

So far, none of the debts listed include anything with the Albany Empire or the National Arena League.

Brown took over the Albany Empire football league in the 2023 season, it was marred by unpaid bills and eventually folded mid-season. According to the court filings, Brown claims to have less than $50,000 in assets.
