Update 7:19pm: There were a total of 23 people on the bus including the driver. Twelve were taken to Glens Falls Hospital with non-critical injuries, one was taken to Albany Med with serious injuries. Other passengers were treated at the Lake George Firehouse.
Update 6:03pm: The bus was a tour bus traveling from Montreal from New York City. The company operating the vehicle, Flixbus, released a statement Friday afternoon:
FlixBus regrets to confirm that according to currently available information, a long-distance bus operating on behalf of FlixBus, on its scheduled route from Montreal to Midtown Manhattan has been involved in an accident today, January 5, 2024, just before 1 pm ET between Warrensburg and Lake George, NY. Individuals who believe they may have relatives on board can call 844-944-2086 or email customercareUS@flixbus.com with questions.

Update 2:51pm: The Glens Falls Post Star is reporting that twelve injured people have arrived at Glens Falls Hospital, none of the injuries are considered critical at this point.
Update 2:47pm: A video posted to Facebook shows a number of ambulances and first responders on the scene
Update 2:39pm: Governor Hochul has released a statement regarding the crash:
Within the last hour, a tour bus with multiple passengers rolled over on I-87 between Lake George and Warrensburg. @nyspolice & @NYSDOT immediately responded & are currently on-site performing rescue operations.

Update 2:29pm: A viewer has sent video of the crash to NewsChannel 13. They are reporting at least one fatality in the accident.
Update 2:12pm: News 10 says buses from the Warrensburg School District are being used to take the injured to the hospital. Sources tell them at least two of the injuries are 'serious'.
Update 1:44pm: NewsChannel 13 reports the athletic fields at Lake George High School are being used as a landing site for medical helicopters, while Glens Falls Hospital says they are preparing for multiple victims.
Reports of a major accident on the Northway southbound between exits 22 and 23 in the Lake George area. Police say a bus rolled over on Friday afternoon and there are multiple injuries. Helicopters were seen taking the inured away from the scene of the crash.
All three southbound lanes are closed between exits 22 and 23.
