Some great news on the employment front, GE in Schenectady announced plans to build a new turbine plant at their downtown campus. The $50 million facility will produce turbines for off shore windmills.
GE says this will add approximately two hundred jobs in downtown Schenectady as well as expand their footprint into cleaner forms of energy.
