New Farmers Market Coming to Albany

In an effort to make more healthy food options available to the South End, Albany County Executive Dan McCoy announced Monday that a partnership between MVP Health Care, the MVP Arena and the County, that will host a monthly farmers market outside the MVP Arena.

McCoy cites the Innovation Fund that was created when MVP took on the naming rights for the arena, as a way bring ‘healthier, inclusive and expanded opportunities’ to the community.

We’re launching the Albany County Farmers Market this summer outside the MVP Arena which will showcase small businesses and help relieve the food desert that exists in our South End.

The new farmers market will take place on the third Sunday of each month from July through October.

  • Sunday July 16 from 12-4pm
  • Sunday August 20 from 12-4pm
  • Sunday September 17 from 12-4pm
  • Sunday October 14 from 12-4pm
