20 Outstanding Women!
Todays Outstanding Woman is Nancy Birdsall Bacon from Guilderland!
Nancy started her area’s faction of the Facebook group “Buy Nothing Guilderland/Altamont/Voorheesville”. The group has over 1600 members and aims to give away excess items and helps others with skills for FREE! Nancy hosts weekly “Junk in the Trunk” events that are free flea markets with everything from home décor to clothing to toys to excess dry goods. She is also actively involved in Street Soldiers, an organization that brings food, clothing, and survival goods to the homeless. Nancy works hard to provide for people who have less than others, and we are honored to call her one of Hannaford Supermarket’s 20 Outstanding Women!
Thank you to all the Outstanding Women who go above and beyond to make their communities a better place to live! The unsung heroes in our neighborhoods – those women who are already busy, yet find the time to give back in big ways to help others.
Each Outstanding Woman will be highlighted at on B95.5 with her own day of recognition, and will be invited to an exclusive celebration with all The 20 Outstanding Women!
