Todays Outstanding Woman is Marshay Hines from Albany!
Marshay is an active community member, volunteer, and youth advocate in the City of Albany. She has spent the last three years as a Community School Site Coordinator for Albany City School District’s Alternative School, Tony Clement Center for Education. Tony Clement provides scholars a chance to be successful after transitioning from one of the district’s middle school or high school environments. Marshay works to simplify the process of connecting community resources to scholars to increase their attendance in school for a greater academic outcome. She also assisted with writing and implementing the School Comprehension Educational Plan to plan events, target chronic absenteeism, and build positive and successful relationships with parents to increase academic performance. She works hard to create a more inviting and more effective education to children who need it, and we are honored to call her one of Hannaford Supermarket’s 20 Outstanding Women!
Thank you to all the Outstanding Women who go above and beyond to make their communities a better place to live! The unsung heroes in our neighborhoods – those women who are already busy, yet find the time to give back in big ways to help others.
