Two lanes of traffic we closed for a time between exits 8 and 8A of the Northway on Monday evening after a car went up in flames.
It happened around 6:20pm, police and fire officials were able to put it out and nobody was hurt. The car was eventually towed and all lanes were reopened. No word on the cause of the fire.
