20 Outstanding Women!
Todays Outstanding Woman is Kate Hockford of Watervliet!
Kate is the founder of “Night Out For You” (NOFY), a non-profit organization with the mission to provide adults going through cancer treatment with a Night Out experience to allow that person to feel like themselves again for at least a few hours. NOFY was started after Kate had completed over 90 chemotherapy sessions of her own with a fellow cancer patient who was feeling down. She gave her a gift card for dinner, encouraging the patient to enjoy a Night Out on the town…and the rest is history. NOFY has provided over 100 experiences to individuals with cancer from spa days to sporting events to shows and so much more. NOFY is 100% operated by volunteers and is funded by donations from individuals and local companies in the community. We are honored to call her one of Hannaford Supermarket’s 20 Outstanding Women!
Thank you to all the Outstanding Women who go above and beyond to make their communities a better place to live! The unsung heroes in our neighborhoods – those women who are already busy, yet find the time to give back in big ways to help others.
Each Outstanding Woman will be highlighted at on B95.5 with her own day of recognition, and will be invited to an exclusive celebration with all The 20 Outstanding Women!
