Albany’s Annual ‘Santa Speedo Sprint’ is Set for 2022

One of the most eye catching (or eye popping) Holiday events in the Capital Region is set to take place on Saturday December 10th. It’s the annual Santa Speedo Sprint where hundreds of runners strip down to their skimpies and bare it (almost) all to benefit two great Capital Region charities.

The Santa Speedo Sprint, now in its 17th year, will begin at 2pm at the corner of Lark Street and Madison Avenue. The 800 meter run will head north to Washington Avenue and back.

Registration begins at 11am at Oh Bar on Lark or the Lionhart on Madison.

Proceeds benefit the HIV/AIDS program at Albany Med and the Albany Damien Center.

The most common question, ‘Do I have to wear a Speedo?’. You do not. As you can see in the video above, runners come out in all kinds of crazy holiday garb.

Grab some friends, co-workers or family members and come out for a day of great fun! Sign up now at AlbanySpeedoSprint.com.
