B95.5, Spectrum News, and the Times Union present the Kid of the Week brought to you by Hannaford Supermarkets...kids in our community inspire us to make healthy choices every day and by the MiSci, Museum of Innovation and Science, in Schenectady.
Each week we spotlight a new kid of the week. There are great kids exhibiting positive behavior and you’ll get to know a new kid every week on B-95.5, in the Times Union, and Live on Time Warner Cable News.
This week's Kid Of The Week is....
I would like to nominate my soon-to-be stepson, 13 year-old Robbie Droege of Scotia as the Kid of the Week. Robbie is in the 8th grade at Iroquois Middle School, loves music and baseball. I work as an EMT and had an accident at work resulting in both of my ankles being broken. Robbie has been right there since it happened asking how he can help and making sure I have what I need. He helps me get around, by assisting me in and out of the car. He wakes up early to walk to Dunkin' Donuts to get my coffee and makes sure I'm set before he goes to school. He also took over the responsibility of feeding and walking my dog. He has even offered to skip baseball or other outings to stay home to help. He's an amazing kid and I can't thank him enough for providing such care. His family is so proud of him
