B95.5, Spectrum News, and the Times Union present the Kid of the Week brought to you by Hannaford Supermarkets...kids in our community inspire us to make healthy choices every day and by the MiSci, Museum of Innovation and Science, in Schenectady.
Each week we spotlight a new kid of the week. There are great kids exhibiting positive behavior and you’ll get to know a new kid every week on B-95.5, in the Times Union, and Live on Time Warner Cable News.
This week's Kid Of The Week is....
I would like to nominate my granddaughter, 7 year-old Sarah Grace Brigham of Rexford as the Kid of the Week. Sarah is a first-grader at Stevens Elementary in the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District. Sarah asked to forego the traditional presents at her recent birthday party and requested that her friends bring donations of food and items for the APF Animal Shelter of Scotia. Sarah also recently became a peer tutor, for a classmate who has experienced some challenges at school. Her teacher, Ms. Niezgoda, has assured her parents that she has been doing a great job assisting her friend. Sarah is very bright, energetic and always wants to help. For someone who is just seven years old, I find all this quite remarkable. We are all so proud of her.
